I have been craving cheese grits from Aunt Catfish's for a couple weeks
now. Due to various reasons, I really thought I was going to die yesterday if I
didn't get some.  So, my Dad texted me and offered to take Georgia and I for
lunch the today, and we invited Jean to come along with us!

We ate lots of cheese grits, saw dolphins and birds, and enjoyed the rather brisk
air and one another's company today.  I'm so thankful for my family and friends!

Georgia's already trying to be a little mat rat.  She gets on the mat
whenever I'm not watching and loves to watch everyone roll.

She sat on the mat, and Mr. Mark came over to sit near her to make
sure she wouldn't get hit, and then she saw him and scooted closer to
him :) she is such a good listener and loves to hear people speak!

Well, here we have, a sac.
And in that sac, we have a baby.
And in that baby, we have a heart beating.

Where is this sac, with a baby, with a heart beating, you ask?

Well, it's in me.

:D

Baby #2 is due in October!
We had our first appointment yesterday, and we got to see the
wee one and see their heart beating away.  We just made it public
today, which is why yesterday's photo is a day late :)

Poor Gigi.  She got her first black eye today.  Which, is sort of ironic, since neither of her
parents have ever had one!  Which, I also find ironic since her father was nicknamed "Booboo Ben"
as a child and he gets punched and kicked at quite often being heavily involved in MMA.

I know it's really not that bad, but it's still a black eye in my book.
I'm grateful it wasn't any closer to her eye!  I know it hurt enough as it was.

And just for clarification - Gus accidentally knocked her
into the coffee table and she hit part of the metal leg.

Also, she was eating in this picture, haha.  It was the
easiest way to make her stay still for a shot at the time.

We attended a beach wedding of some great friends of ours today!  It was so beautiful.

When I go to weddings, I try to either leave my camera at home or leave it in the car.  If I bring it
to the ceremony, I tend to want to take over and shoot the whole wedding.  But as a photographer, I
want and need to respect that the couple chose a photographer and they have got it under control!
I need to let them do their job and let them get the awesome shots, not me.  Especially when those
photographers are my friends.  I want to do whatever I can to make that day easy for them, and
sometimes, leaving my camera out of it is the best way to do that!
All that to say, I can't wait to see Shannon and Jean's photos from today - they did an awesome job!

If I'm not shooting the wedding, I bring my camera for a few shots of my family, like
these that I've posted :)

You get an instagram photo for today because I was too lazy to take any with my camera.

Georgia has learned "Where's your belly button?" now, and it's positively adorable.

Nap time in Nana's arms yesterday.

We spent most of our day with my Mom and Aunt again yesterday.  They kept Georgia
while I got my hair trimmed (sooo overdue - I hadn't had my hair cut in 19 months) and when
I came back, Georgia had just fallen asleep in Nana's lap.  It was just so precious.

I really didn't feel like posting this by the time we got home, so that's why it's late :)

Georgia loves her new shoes.
The zippers on the back make a quiet jingle noise as she walks.

Aunt Patty is in town, and since Georgia has been in need of some new clothes and
shoes for a while, she took us shopping today!  After we got home, I realized that every
piece of clothing we got was blue!  I guess that's the color I'm into right now.  Haha!

Thanks, Aunt Patty!  We love you!

Since we had a long day yesterday, Georgia ended up sleeping past
11am this morning!  Her room was well lit when I went in to get her up.

She and Gus ran off some energy outside - it was actually hot enough
to be sweating when we were out!  Spring is certainly on its way.

We spent a lot of time going through more of my Grandparents things today.
We'd gone through much of their things soon after they passed away last May, but not
everything. There were lots of different comments along the lines of "Oh I remember
that!" or "Awww, that was so Grandma." or "Why on earth did they keep this?" :)

Our sweet babies did very well throughout the day, considering the lack of naps.
I always love watching David and Georgia play with the same toys and books that my
brother and I played with as children!  Especially seeing them play well together.  It's
just the sweetest thing.  They're a bunch of goofballs and we love them so much :D

We traveled a total of 5 hours (round trip) to a wedding yesterday!
Thankfully, we were able to split it up a little and make it a little better for the munchkin here.

Unfortunately, she didn't nap like we had hoped she would.  But she stayed somewhat
happy considering her lack of sleep and being cooped up in the car so much!

She was able to watch "Up" on Nana's phone for a good bit of the drive.  But she would
push the button a bunch and it would go off, then she'd be frustrated and I'd have to put the
movie back on.  I must've started it back up at least 25 times.

My Valentine's Day was quite nice.

Woke up to these beautiful hydrangeas from my husband, made little valentines
for our parents with Georgia, and then later received beautiful new earrings from Ben!

I posted more about it on my blog here.

We spent some time outside in the chilly wind today.
Georgia insisted on taking her pillow pet out with us.
She then forgot about it when she found some flowers.

She got the hymnal off of the kitchen table, sat down on the floor, opened it up and started "singing".
Then she took it to the coffee table to sing some more.  It was really, really sweet.

She is becoming more and more independent each day.  Doing all these sweet little things totally on
her own.  Learning and growing so much.  It's so hard for me to wrap my brain around it all.

After coming home from the store today, I let Gus out and he and Georgia immediately
took off for the backyard.  So I took the groceries in and went back out to let them play
for a little while (even though it was kind of hot and I really wanted to be inside).

I love how happy Georgia is when she's outside.  I don't even have to talk to her.
She just does her own little thing, exploring and adventuring all around our property.

Kitty snuggles for the sick girl!

Runt was laying in Georgia's crib when I went to lay her down for a nap, so I just laid her right next
to him.  I was very surprised that he didn't move, he just stayed there and snuggled up to her!  I ran to
get my camera before they moved.  It was very sweet, but short-lived, because she decided she'd give
him a full on hug after about 15 seconds and he wasn't crazy about that idea.  I took him out with me
when I left her to nap.

Oh, and her nose is scraped up and forehead bruised because she took a spill on the
pavement yesterday. Only the second time she's done that!

Hyland's Teething Tablets.

This describes our last few days to a "T" :/

And now Georgia and I are both sick with sore throats, runny noses, I've got
a headache and I'm guessing she might as well.  She is so miserable.  Poor fing.

Praying for some relief very soon!

I attended Anna's bridal shower yesterday, after meeting with her about shooting her wedding next
month!  I am so excited for her and super stoked to shoot her wedding.

Here we have the bride-to-be, her grandmother, and her 6 week old niece.

Georgia has always seemed somewhat interested in wearing clothes and shoes.  She's never been the
kind to rip her shoes off 30 seconds after getting in the car.  She takes things out of her hair sometimes,
but is much better about it than most babies.  And she has just recently let me put hats on her again (she
went through a phase where she'd bawl her eyes out if I put a hat on her).  I just love to watch her run
around with a hat on, patting it while looking at me and babbling about it.  She's just the sweetest.

Oh, and see her newest fashion statement on Instagram here.

Well, the quality of these images is quite terrible (awful, horrid, embarrassing...), but my
pathetic phone was the only option I had to capture this pivotal moment in Georgia's life.

Today, Georgia received her first Publix cookie.

This may seem insignificant to anyone that didn't grow up shopping at Publix.  But please
know, this is a big deal.  A free cookie from the bakery was always the best part of the
shopping trip and made the 30 minutes (that seemed like hours) totally worth it.

Georgia thoroughly enjoyed her cookie and finished it just before we came to the checkout!
Then she proceeded to make the bagger's day just by smiling and waving at him, all in the
midst of the worst day of teething she has ever had.  Poor girl.  Praying tomorrow is better.

Typically, when Gus goes outside, I just let him go alone and do his thing.  But Georgia was
napping and I decided I'd go out with him!  Plus, it's quite nice out today (currently 79 degrees) and
it felt great to be outside.  Gus is such a fun puppy and is turning out to be a really great dog!  I'm
liking him more and more each day... which is saying something since I'm a cat person :)

I fully intended on taking this picture last night, and I forgot to do it before she went to bed.
So, I took it this morning, to sort of capture what happened last night!

We went to the grocery store, just for some bananas, while Ben was at class.  When we got back
to class to wait for Ben, I realized Georgia's night-night wasn't in the car.  Thus, we must have left it
at the store.  So I immediately looked up their number and called to see if anyone had found it. The
girl had a few people look in all the places I listed, and no one found it.  I told her I would double
check the car again, and if it wasn't there, I'd come back and take a look as well.  It wasn't in the car.

Off to the store we went again (so grateful it's only about a 3 minute drive) to try and find her night-night.
When we went in, I retraced my steps with no night-night to be found.  I walked up to the service
counter to make sure someone hadn't turned it in, and nothing.  No one had found it.  The girl said
"I hope it wasn't a favorite!" and I said "Well, actually it is, but it's one of three at least." and just then,
I looked to the left, and at the other end of the store stood a little girl, about 12 years old, swinging
Georgia's night-night around and playing with it.  I said "That girl has her blanket!" and speed-walked
to go get it.  I think the family only spoke spanish, because when I said "That's my daughter's blanket!
Thank you so much for finding it!" the girl looked at me in confusion, looked at her Mom, and
reluctantly handed me the blanket.  And her Mom just smiled.  Not a word.  It was very strange, but
I'm just thankful that Georgia's got her night-night back and all is right in the world ;)

{p.s. fresh bread is hard to resist}

Yesterday was Grandad Brower's funeral, so I really didn't have my camera on me to get
pictures. But, I did snap this one with Ben's phone of Georgia and her friend, Serenity (who is
exactly 10 months younger than Georgia), who unintentionally matched yesterday!

Luna's got the right idea.

This is our second night in a row staying up way too late.  But how can we not when
we have awesome family in town!?  Hopefully we'll be a little smarter tomorrow ;)
