Nana came over to help us do some things in prep for Phoenix.  Sweet Georgia loooves
her Nana.  No way Nana was going anywhere without her (or at least, without her checking
in on her).  We're so thankful for Nana!

We, being the silly folk we are, went camping with some friends in Florida in August.
Yes, yes we did.

We all decided it was "an adventure" and that we won't plan any more August camping trips.

But we'll definitely do it again in a better season :)

We went to a knife show celebrating the 125th anniversary of Case knives (yes, we
are related to the founders of the company) and while having lunch, David sat in his
baked beans.  While cleaning him up, Georgia noticed the spot from the beans and kept
saying "Dayday, Dayday, Dayday!" like "Look at his pants, guys!"  It was so funny.

Later, back at the cabin, I asked David what his favorite part of the day was.  Every
part I mentioned, he said "No..." and so I finally asked "Was your favorite part sitting
in the baked beans?" and he immediately said "Um yes!!" hahahaha.  He's adorable.

It is unbelievably difficult to take a picture with multiple babies/toddlers in it.  My
family members are troopers when putting up with me trying to get pictures.  Thankful
we finally got this one of my parents with their (born) grandchildren!  Pretty sure the
next "Nana/Papa/Grandkids" picture will have Phoenix in it!!

I have the cutest nephews!!!  Ryan and I took a bathroom selfie :D  I know
firsthand how wonderful it is to have someone with you to hold your child when
you need to use a public restroom.

We managed to get a family picture back at the cabin!  It wasn't easy, that's for
sure.  But we got one with everyone looking and no one crying!  Haha!

We drove through the night to Tennessee, making it there after almost 10 hours.
My parents, my brother and his family were already at the cabin, and they watched
Georgia after we got some breakfast so that Ben and I could get some sleep!

After we got a nice nap, we just chilled around the cabin.  We love to play Uno
(or any game, for that matter) and enjoyed playing it outside on the beautiful porch!

We had dinner at my parents' house on Sunday - I always love watching
Georgia play with her cousins.  And Ben is an awesome uncle :)

We attended my cousin's beach wedding this Saturday!

I love the way Georgia looks at Ben sometimes.  It's so sweet to
watch them together, and I can't wait to see him with Phoenix.

And I just adore this shot of Georgia and her cousin David.
They're adorable playing together, sharing (more or less) their
toys with each other!

We went to Cracker Barrel with some family on Sunday, and
Georgia and David had a great time running around outside after
we all finished eating.  They are just so cute together!!!

This is KitKat!  Samwise's sister :)
My brother and his family took her in, and she is quite
the feisty one!  I'll have to get a picture of Sam's other sister
as well.  She looks similar to KitKat and nothing like Sam.

Last night we had Grandma-style grilled cheese at Cody and Tricia's to celebrate
my Grandma's life (who passed away 1 year ago on Friday).  She always made THE
absolute best grilled cheese... like, to die for.  Tricia is very good at making it Grandma's
way and we're very grateful!  This was the first time Georgia tried it, and I just loved
seeing her eat the grilled cheese I grew up with.  Oh, and that hat used to be mine, but
I gave it to her and she loves it.  She loves wearing hats.

Y'all, it really doesn't get much cuter than this.

Ryan is such a sweet baby (and one of the best nephews ever).

Catch up from the weekend time!

On Saturday morning, Georgia and I met my Mom so that she could keep Georgia
for the day while Ben and I worked on some things around the house.  It was a long
overdue cleaning day, and we're very thankful Mom was able to watch Georgia.
We got a lot more accomplished than we would've been able to if she had been home.

Nana took Georgia to go play with cousins David and Ryan for a little bit!  This
picture was taken with her phone (I didn't take any pictures while we were cleaning).

We had some extended family in town yesterday, and we went to
a favorite local restaurant with them.
Georgia just adores watching the birds out on the dock.  She also
had fun on the playground with her cousin :)

Saturday was David's 2nd birthday!  We celebrated with family by taking a train ride and
enjoying a picnic at the park!  It was a fun day and I think David had a wonderful birthday.

Next to David are his "state" cousins, Virginia and Georgia :)

Nap time in Nana's arms yesterday.

We spent most of our day with my Mom and Aunt again yesterday.  They kept Georgia
while I got my hair trimmed (sooo overdue - I hadn't had my hair cut in 19 months) and when
I came back, Georgia had just fallen asleep in Nana's lap.  It was just so precious.

I really didn't feel like posting this by the time we got home, so that's why it's late :)

We spent a lot of time going through more of my Grandparents things today.
We'd gone through much of their things soon after they passed away last May, but not
everything. There were lots of different comments along the lines of "Oh I remember
that!" or "Awww, that was so Grandma." or "Why on earth did they keep this?" :)

Our sweet babies did very well throughout the day, considering the lack of naps.
I always love watching David and Georgia play with the same toys and books that my
brother and I played with as children!  Especially seeing them play well together.  It's
just the sweetest thing.  They're a bunch of goofballs and we love them so much :D

Sweet smiles.

I photographed our newest nephew today.  He's 11 days old and just precious.
I so enjoy spending time with his Momma (my brother's wife).  It was a really nice day.
